As you would expect from Spelsberg, particular attention has also been paid with this classic to ensuring quick assembly. At the manufacturing stage, Spelsberg uses two different components and sprays sealing elements and enclosures in a single operation. As a result, the seal is bonded firmly and permanently to the enclosure, and no longer needs to be picked out, inserted or aligned.
The new 2K-16 versions in the Red Range now offer even more connection options. 16 prepared entries on the sides and three additional floor entries make the enclosure usable in a particularly flexible manner for diameters between two and 14 millimetres. There is no need for a tool to open the wiring guides as they are all fitted with soft, self-sealing membranes (soft membranes). The enclosure cover can also be closed without a tool. However, if you want to open it again, then you will need a screwdriver as stipulated in DIN VDE 0606.
The connection space is also increased analogous to the number of entries. There is space for more conductors and terminals there compared to the 2K-12 version, whereby the terminals can be positioned in a completely different manner. Incidentally, the strain relief clamp that is available for the existing 2K-12 version also fits into the new versions, enabling a combination with screw terminals here as well.Mounting domes located in the ground allow you to use self-drilling screws.
You can also choose what to use in order to mount the new enclosure: the mounting clamps are positioned internally as standard for 2K-16 types – however, all versions are also available in grey and white with externally positioned mounting clamps (as seen in Appendix AB (“Zusatz AB”)).
