All of these benefits have now been surpassed:
Abox SL boxes up to 4 mm² are now fitted with the new WAGO 221 terminal. It is able to tolerate continuous service temperatures of 105 degrees and is 40% smaller than its predecessor. In doing so, there is more room in the connection space, whereby conductor cross-sections and types can now be mixed individually. Made using transparent material, you will see straight away whether it has been completely stripped and the conductors have been correctly inserted. A test opening also allows you to check functionality when assembled.
The Abox SL terminal support has also been revised in this context: it is plugged in as opposed to screwed in just like before - but it enables wiring with much more transparency combined with greater functionality. Now, up to ten terminals can be installed in two rows. There are already five three-way terminals in the enclosure, but other partitions are also possible using two-way terminals.
If you wish to remove the terminals, simply apply pressure to the notches designed for this purpose using a screwdriver. It is really easy to make alterations without damaging the components.
Incidentally, the prices of the Abox SL series are not affected by this adjustment. The usual article numbers remain in place as well.
